"Fortune Favours the Brave"- this is one of my life's mottos. With this motto in mind, my family and I have embarked upon a journey which sees our Australian selves leaving all that is loved and familiar, and heading for the chilly and beautiful land of Canada. This site is intended for family and friends, and documents this journey (hopefully with the odd picture), so those who wish to, can share the journey with us.
I guess I forgot to mention that we sold the house. Oops, it has been a crazy couple of weeks.

It is often said that "home is where the heart lies". Well my roots are in Australia where I was born and bred, but my heart ultimately lies with my family. So essentially, I am home wherever they happen to be. While I am Aussie through and through, my husband and I, along with our two children, currently reside in Canada. Sometimes though, at certain special moments throughout the year, my heart can appear to break in two, because it wants to be in two places at once. Do you know what I mean? I am a mum, a wife and an Aussie. And I enjoy the ebb and flow challenge and joy, that is life.

congrats on the house, i hope the luck runs through the eden genes, (sorry ashley! no offense). I have taken your cue of the staging idea and have some grand plans for our house, but then i guess the walls should be painted first , the floor laid....
